Chapter Twelve – Youth
July 24, 2009 by speckypeck
I’m starting to show my age.

And Adam has grown! Just like a teenager, he is almost always on the phone. It is like an extension of his body, a permanent fixture to his earlobe. Friends, girlfriends, it’s hard to keep up with him now. Adam is in a world of changes.

Adam is fairly active around town. No time for work just yet. He has mentioned a young woman named Latoya. It sounds like a relationship that has potential to get serious. But not too serious yet we hope.

Adam goes out collecting with his friends. Some of the things he gets given are rather odd. What would a teenager want with a pot plant or broken venetian blinds I wonder? Adam says he just likes collecting those sorts of things.
Oh well.

He also loves painting. Now that is something I can appreciate.

Jamie still helps develop Adam’s academic skills after work. He has excellent grades but I suspect he will choose a career in the arts rather than the scientific field like his father and mother. That is fine with me. I just want our son to be happy.

Jamie and I catch a movie now and then, go out to dinner, and enjoy each other’s company.
But we move a little slower, grow tired faster and the senses have become dulled somewhat. The youthful days have definitely left us.
And also…
Jamie hasn’t been feeling very well lately.

To be continued…

Adam is very handsome, he will become a good heir!
Uh oh…poor Jamie. I wonder if Adam will prefer a career in which he continues to “collect” strange things, instead….
Looks like they are ready to pass the torch. Adam really is a cutie.
Hm, he likes to collect odd things, eh? And he seems like such a nice boy …
